Little footsteps, drawing sounds and reactions follow his movements. The funky music continues while he dances. Holding the mic quietens playback while you speak.

Your Magic Assistant

Preparing offline copy

What it does

your Magic Assistant reveals a preset playing card or a drawing you have saved. The card or object must match your preset through your own force or method. The microphone advances a prepared sequence; it does not recognise words, listen or record audio.

Name & prompts

You can name your assistant on the Assistant’s name page. Save & back returns to Settings. That name appears at the top of the performance screen. Leave it blank to display Your Magic Assistant. Turn conversation prompts on while learning, or off for a clean spectator view. The basic mic instruction stays visible either way. Save each page, then press Perform in Settings.

Test login

Use one of your five test email and PIN pairs. Remember Me keeps this device signed in after reopening, including offline. Without it, login lasts for the current browser session. Log out from the control panel to switch accounts. Presets and drawings are stored locally on this device, not synced between accounts or phones.

Set up

Open Choose your playing card to set a card and its wrong-reveal switch, then Save & back. Open Your drawings to edit the separate Wrong and Correct pages and set the drawing wrong-reveal switch, then Save & back. Press Perform in Settings to return to the mode shown by the dot. Change card/drawing by holding the top-right name on the performance screen. Your presets stay saved on this device. Every launch starts in red/card mode. You can clear either sketchpad and Save & exit to keep it empty. Save & back accepts empty pages. Drawing mode needs a correct drawing, and a wrong drawing too when wrong reveal is enabled; until then its mic is unavailable. Perform returns to card mode if drawings are missing.

Talk to your assistant

Press and hold the mic, speak, then release. He responds after you release. Wait for each animation to finish before the next cue. You or a spectator can hold the button; guide them through the conversation. Use your own wording.

Drawing: five cues

  1. Hello, can you help? He comes over and greets you.
  2. Someone is thinking of an object or word; please go to your pad and draw it. He agrees, walks over, draws and gives a thumbs-up.
  3. Finished? Turn it around and show us. He turns the easel to show your saved drawing.
  4. Well done, that is exactly right. He performs your selected final celebration: bow then thumbs-up, or a big grin while adjusting his bow tie.
  5. You can go back to work now. He waves and returns to his book.

Use the name to select a routine

Hold the top-right name for about two-thirds of a second to switch between card and drawing. Two taps select dancing; three taps select the cheeky message. You can leave up to about two-thirds of a second between taps. A single short tap does nothing. After two taps, wait briefly to let the app distinguish a possible third tap. Each choice returns the assistant to his chair and restarts the routine.

The dot is red for card, black for drawing, yellow for dancing and blue for the cheeky message. Dancing and the message are temporary modes; a new launch returns to your saved card or drawing mode.

Dancing: three cues

  1. Say hello and ask for help. He stands, waves and gives a thumbs-up.
  2. Ask him to dance for some entertainment. He walks to the centre and dances continuously.
  3. Say that is enough and thank him. He stops and returns to his book.

Cheeky message: two cues

  1. Say hello and ask for help.
  2. Ask if he has a message for the person next to you. He walks to the centre, performs your chosen gesture (middle finger, V sign or a kiss with a red heart), lowers his hand and returns to his chair automatically.

Wrong reveals

Cards and drawings have independent wrong-reveal switches. Off keeps the normal routine. Cards: the first reveal is a randomly chosen different card. Tell him it is wrong and ask him to put it back and try again. He puts his hand to his forehead with an embarrassed expression, lowers his hand, then returns it to the envelope and produces the correct card. Then congratulate him and say goodbye.

Drawings: save the Wrong reveal (first) and Correct reveal (final) using the labelled pads and previews. After the first drawing is shown, tell him it is wrong and ask him to try again. He reacts with a hand to his forehead, lowers it, turns the easel away, redraws, then gives a thumbs-up. Ask him to turn it around again for the correct reveal, then congratulate him and say goodbye. Both drawings are saved independently.

Sound

Open Sound in Settings to turn all sounds on or off and set the volume. Preview individual effects there, then Save & back. Sounds include footsteps, pen scratching, paper rustles, a short greeting, kiss, wrong-answer reaction, success flourish and original dance music. Music loops only while he dances and quietens while the mic is held. The wrong-answer reaction happens when you tell him to try again; he still acts proud when first showing the wrong prediction. The success flourish follows your praise.

All sounds are included with the app for offline use. Open online once and wait for Offline ready in these instructions after uploading this update. The first mic press enables audio; no extra performance cue or microphone permission is needed. The device volume must be turned up. Reset, changing mode, opening Settings, logging out and leaving the app stop playback. A sound setting of Off applies to all modes.

Impatience

After four seconds waiting for a cue, he checks his watch and folds his arms. Holding the mic gets his attention. These gestures never advance the routine, obscure a reveal or stop his dancing.

Card: four cues without extras

  1. Say hello and ask for help.
  2. Ask him to fetch the card prediction from his envelope. He walks straight over, opens it and produces the preset card.
  3. Congratulate him. He performs your selected final celebration: bow then thumbs-up, or a big grin while adjusting his bow tie.
  4. Say goodbye. He returns to his book.

Controls & installation

The small circular arrow resets the scene, keeping your preset. Long-press the title for about a second to return here. Cancel closes the panel without changing your preset.

Long-press the title to open this panel. Perform returns to your assistant reading his book. The microphone is a gesture button: hold while speaking, release to cue him. No audio is recorded.

Drawing: hello → ask him to go and draw it → ask him to turn the easel around → praise him → goodbye. He agrees, walks over, draws and gives a thumbs-up automatically after the second cue. Wait for him to finish.

Card: hello → ask him to fetch the prediction → praise him → goodbye. Use your own words. Preset and force the card or object using your own method.

Open in Safari or Chrome on HTTPS and add to your Home Screen. Wait for Offline ready here before testing in airplane mode. Save settings inside the installed app.
